Apart from revealing her upcoming tours, Venus announced that she took part in refurbishing a tennis court in the Bronx. Now Williams sisters held their life’s very first racquets in Compton when there was not much infrastructure in tennis courts there. Now Venus wants to change that for the kids.

During Venus Williams’ childhood, she and her talented sister Serena Williams often received training in broken and unpolished courts. It was truly a challenge for them to improvise in such an under-developed situation. Now with a recent initiative, Venus Williams aims to bring a change to the young generation of tennis enthusiasts.

Venus Williams joins Lacoste’s initiative to refurbish old tennis courts

In her recent life update, Venus Williams shared with her fans that she has been a part of the famous designer brand, Lacoste’s new project for tennis court renovation. As a part of this project, Venus joined Lacoste in refurbishing a tennis court at St. Mary’s Park in the Bronx. Venus’s new initiative with Lacoste was a collaboration with the City Parks Foundation. However, this project surely helped many tennis young enthusiasts to have a proper court for practicing.


Now, the Williams sister’s whole locality in Compton is proud of this duo. They speak about many young kids idealizing their tennis talent. Following that, it also falls upon the shoulders of both Serena and Venus Williams to ensure their future generation does not suffer while trying to nourish their dreams of becoming a sportsman. Now that Venus Williams finally agreed to take part in it, she is also giving it back to her community, who stood behind her in pride.

How was Venus Williams’s 2023 tennis season so far?

Venus Williams clearly doesn’t have the word retirement in her dictionary. She went through a moderate 2023 season and returned to tennis tours in June 2023, when she attended tournaments in Birmingham, Netherlands, and Wimbledon. Venus Williams suffered a knee injury during her Wimbledon match and suffered massively for the whole summer.
