Classic never fades, and neither does Venus Williams. The WTA pro is on a hiatus due to a knee injury, yet she continues to turn heads on social media. Since stepping off the court after the 2023 Wimbledon, Williams has focused on recovery and fitness. She’s also using her platforms as a motivational guru and style icon! Style isn’t new to her. Venus has owned the fashion brand Eleven by Venus since 2007, dazzling fans with her stunning tennis kits for years. Now, off the court, she’s making waves wherever she goes.
On Tuesday, she shared posts from her night at Christian Dior’s Couture Spring 2025 show in Paris. Alongside celebrities like Regina King, Kelly Rutherford, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Jenna Ortega, Venus posted her look for the night with the caption, “Parisian dreams @dior 🖤 #DiorHauteCouture.” She stood out at the $12.5 billion fashion brand’s gala held at the Louvre Museum in an all-black jumpsuit featuring a zip front, a cinched drawcord waist, and snap front-flap pockets at the hips.
To complete her look, she wore black sandals with thick platform soles and sky-high block heels. The stylish shoes, about 4 inches tall, had a bow-embellished toe design and a buckled ankle strap that seemed to add another 4 inches to the 6-foot-1 tennis player’s height! Talk about commanding a room! In another post, she expressed gratitude: “Merci, @dior, for a magical show 💫 #DiorHauteCouture.”

But really, Merci, Venus for showcasing your stunning looks that never fail to impress! In November last year, at the Fashion Awards in London, Venus Williams stole the show in a fabulous button-up one-piece and cropped wide-leg pants. She paired the look with sleek black heels for a stunning black-tie vibe. A look that truly had heads turning! Venus is all about the style. But what about tennis?

Williams is “still training” during her hiatus to stay fit
Last year, Venus Williams, now 44, participated in just two events: Indian Wells and Miami. Unfortunately, she faced first-round exits in both tournaments. In her Miami match against the hard-hitting Diana Shnaider, she lost 6-3, 6-3, and hasn’t competed since. In a September interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she opened up about her fitness routine, “I do weights, and I swim in an Olympic-size public pool near my home surrounded by pines in Florida.” However, due to her knee injury from 2023, the seven-time Grand Slam champion is taking things slow. She noted, “I’m still training, not every day like before but I’ll always need to be on court.”
Venus emphasized the importance of staying active despite her challenges. “It’s a wonderful way to stay fit, burn calories and have great legs and arms! If you want to look good, play tennis. It doesn’t look like work but it’s exhausting. I will do that as long as I have cartilage! If I keep playing, hopefully the ageing process won’t start…!” While she hasn’t officially announced her comeback yet, retirement is not on her mind. In an interview with the Irish News in October 2024, she declared, “I’m not done with the racket yet.” She elaborated further: “At this point, it’s about picking and choosing places I want to be.”
She reflected on her desire to return to competitive play. “Last year I really wanted to play in Miami – home – because I hadn’t played there in like five years.” She reassured fans that even when she’s not on tour, her game remains sharp. “It’s nice to be in a place where I can pick and choose, but my game is always at a high level,” she added.
