Serena Williams likely dreamt of a post-retirement life where she could be free of troubles. However, fate had something else in store for her. The connection her family, and the home where they used to live in, is unforgettable, which is why the Queen of the Court had to fight for it. The set of four walls and countless memories were involved in legal proceedings for a long time, and they have finally come to a conclusion with an unexpected outcome.

Recently, Lakeisha Graham, the ex-wife of Richard Williams, managed to save Serena Williams’ house from being auctioned. Lakeisha burst into tears in a private meeting as she secured the property and settled her massive debts which became the reason for her entry into the news. “To be honest, she seems very different. She was even crying in the office saving the house. The house needs a lot of work, but they’re definitely not selling it. He wants to keep it. I already know that,” said Chavoita LeSane, speaking about the situation.

The case began when Lakeisha forged Richard’s signature to transfer the deed of the house to her name and borrowed a huge amount she couldn’t repay. Richard’s ex-wife claimed she did this to provide for herself and their son, Dylan, and because she was asked to by Richard himself as he was ill. However, Serena Williams’ dad denied her claims and filed for divorce in 2017.

At the time of the auction announcement, Lakeisha’s debt was about $436,113. The property, which was once worth around $1.4 million, would only fetch half due to a requirement of extensive repairs. However, Richard and Lakeisha have made a surprising reconciliation after the hostility spanned for more than half a decade.

Serena Williams, who has been in the midst of the case since she was pregnant with Olympia, couldn’t keep herself from commenting on the situation. In a CNN interview back in 2021, she said, “I don’t think anyone could imagine what we’ve been through… It’s been a really difficult time for us.” Venus Williams, on the other hand, added, “Our dad is a wonderful person, and we’re just trying to protect him and his legacy.”

As the family has finally saved their property, it didn’t just justify Lakeisha’s emotional outburst but also dropped signs of the family getting back together again. Although the case now seems to have reached a conclusion, there were several moments of adversity during the whole scenario.

King Richard’s son reveals how “he’s just terrified” of the legal proceedings

The divorce petition filed by King Richard against his wife Lakeisha Graham has been making headlines for a long time. Although the legal request was directly waived off at first, it brought enough trouble to Serena Williams’ father even after proceeding in the direction that he wished for. Amid the health concerns, his son Chavoita LeSane came forward to reveal how it was a terrible experience.

“With the strokes and stuff, he’s just terrified of the court procedures. It wasn’t just court. He was supposed to show up for his deposition. I had to talk to the attorney and say, ‘He’s not gonna make it.’ It was terrible,” the former tennis pro’s brother said.

As the recent update showed up, it seems like the hassles would now come to an end, finally helping the family to settle down with their family members along with the debated home back in their possession.
