Serena Williams and Alycia Parks share a bond that highlights the depth of their relationship. Sadly, despite Parks’ US Open run ending, this WTA star looked to have come to terms with her recent performance. Reason? The presence of her idol, Serena Williams, in her life. Parks’ meeting with her icon was more than a casual meeting but an exchange of vibes between two generations of tennis players. Parks shared the moment on social media as she offered her followers a glimpse into the bond she shares with the former world’s no 1 player.

Parks lost her mixed doubles match with Jackson Withrow at the Round of 16 of the US Open. Luck didn’t favor her in the doubles with Camila Osorio either, as they succumbed to defeat in the second round. While the American WTA star’s US Open dream ended, she had a special person to lift her mood. Parks met the legendary Serena Williams and had a lot of fun at the US Open as they attended Grigor Dimitrov’s match as spectators. These girls laughed, posed for a photo, and showed off how well they tuned in with each other. “Girls just being girls👯‍♀️💄,” Parks wrote while sharing snippets of her fangirl moment with the former Olympic gold medalist.

Dressed in a channel white co-ord set with her blonde hair open, Williams looked gorgeous in Parks’ clip. On the other hand, this WTA no 63 wore a white tube jumpsuit with a black bomber jacket showing off equally great styling sense, like Williams. For Alycia Parks, the Williams sisters have been inspirations since childhood. When she was 18, Parks admitted to The Palm Beach Post, “Serena called me when I was 7 or 8. She was saying positive things and telling me to stick with it. Now that I’m here, I’m sure she’s proud. She was saying positive things and telling me to stick with it. Now that I’m here, I’m sure she’s proud.”

In January, Tennis Channel shared a video on social media where Parks talked about how this call impacted her career. She revealed how Williams motivated her with “very positive words.” Williams’ gesture of calling the WTA star and sparking her zeal for a professional tennis career equally impressed not just the 23-year-old but also her father and coach Michael Parks. He mentioned that Williams made a “big difference” in their lives with that call. “They knew they could beat anyone or they can accomplish anything. And she told her to play hard and stay with her goals. So that meant a lot to us,” he said.
