Sports players who rise to the top earn a lot of money. Most, if not all, wish to diversify their portfolio by investing the amount they earn into various other projects. Coco Gauff is one such individual. The current US Open champion won a handsome sum for winning her first Grand Slam title. Now, she is looking to follow in the footsteps of her doubles partner and close friend, Jessica Pegula.
Pegula comes from a billionaire family, and her parents are the owners of the NFL team, Buffalo Bills. But the player wants to grow her own financial base. In 2021, she created a line of skin care products that had a personal reason behind it. Now, her doubles partner is planning to do something similar.

The US Open has the largest prize pool of all the slams. They continued the tradition this year, which meant a high payout to players participating in all rounds. The winners also received a humongous sum. Novak Djokovic and Coco Gauff took home a check of $3 million each. Now that the young player has won the biggest prize money of her career so far, she is thinking of branching out into the business and investing world.
In a recent interview with Insider, the American sensation talked about her plans on investing. She said that she “want(s) to venture out into other things.” She does have a desire to branch out into the field, but is unsure of how and where to take the first step. “I just haven’t found what really speaks to me,” she said. The 19-year-old is quite interested in the field of fashion but hasn’t figured out how to translate that interest into a business venture.
“I mean, I really do love fashion. I love makeup.” Gauff further said, “I love that type of thing. I just haven’t really thought about how I would build that into a brand, per se.”
