While Serena Williams’ retirement last year at the US Open marked the end of an era, her elder sister, Venus Williams is still going strong at 43. Despite playing in a handful of tournaments this year, the American tennis legend has always given fans something to cheer when she steps onto the court. Such has been her charisma over the years that she is termed one of the best players to have graced the sport.

Having had a lengthy injury layoff, Venus made a comeback during the hard-court season during the second half of 2022. However, her comeback didn’t go as planned, suffering early exits. The seven-time Grand Slam champion won her first match of 2023 in Auckland. But Venus couldn’t carry the momentum in her favor as she failed to dig deep into the tournaments. Nonetheless, her fans have something to cheer about as an exciting update has dropped.
