Coco Gauff performed splendidly in the Grand Slam of clay this year. She made up to the finals of both singles and doubles of the French Open and is currently gearing up for the title that the Wimbledon championships has to offer.

Even though she has her entire focus on the biggest event of grass, she didn’t forget to cheer for her younger brother. Gauff sat down for one of the most important matches for her sibling Codey Gauff and shared her emotions on social media.
Coco Gauff shares her excitement
Gauff, after witnessing the thrilling finale of the 2022 14U PG World series, took on Instagram and shared a clip of the baseball match’s peak moment. She mentioned how fabulous Codey Gauff’s team’s comeback was and wrote, “unbelievable comeback. Down 0-3 in the last inning with 2 and somehow won the game.”
Thereafter, she jokingly mentioned why she could not express her happiness to the fullest. And wrote,?”POV you are watching Codey Gauff win but you have to celebrate quietly. Because you are at a nice restaurant.”

The?18-year-old’s entire family has a relationship with the sports world. Her Father, Corey Gauff, played basketball at Georgia State University, and her mother was a track and field athlete at Florida State University.
Guaff in Wimbledon up till now
The 2022 French Open runner-up has successfully secured her position in the second round of the 2022?WimbledonChampionships. She took down the Romanian tennis ace and former World No.51 Elena-Gabriela Ruse in a three-set long first round match. After taking the first set to read the grass of Court-2, Gauff out-muscled the 24-year-old in 2-6, 6-3, 7-5. Next, the American will lock horns with yet another Romanian tennis professional.

She will square off against Mihaela Buzarnescu, the former World no. 20 on 30th June in the centre court. The 11th seed will meet Buzarnescu for the first time. As she recently had a semifinal run in Berlin, her chance of securing an easy win over the latter is very high. Further, she will play her first mixed doubles match on 1 July alongside Jack Sock.
