Even though they are excellent tennis players, Venus and Serena Williams have felt a void in their hearts since the loss of their elder sister nearly two decades ago. They lost their elder sister, Yetunde Price, in a drive-by shooting in 2003. It turned out to be a life-altering incident for them. Over the years, their circle of sisters has always missed the final jigsaw piece of that sibling bond.
But the Williams and Price siblings gradually recovered and established the “Yetunde Price Resource Center” in honor of their sister. Now, to ease the pain in their hearts, they have decided to raise donations for similar victims through a humanity project at the resource center. To do so, Venus and Serena have teamed up with a renowned artist to raise donations for trauma victims.

The YPRC was founded with the intention of chronicling the legacy of the oldest Price sister. Venus did, however, add that the primary motivation for this was to support the YPRC by allocating the proceeds from the sale of these images to the auction. All these are part of the foundation’s genuine efforts to raise money for vital resources for those affected by violence in Compton.
But Serena Williams’ elder sister Venus is no stranger to fundraising and charitable initiatives. Aside from this event, the seven-time Grand Slam champion also joined hands in another significant project to honor and preserve the legacy of an artist.
