Bianca Andreescu is trying her best to have a fantastic season on the tennis court after overcoming a gruesome injury. Recently, she beat Victoria Azarenka to get to the second round of the French Open. Even though she had been performing well on her own, the tennis pro recently discussed having the additional drive to play even better than before. And, while talking about having extra motivation, she recalled the tournament when American actor Eric Dane, better known as McSteamy among his fans, came to cheer her on.

For the Canadian tennis player, the moment when the popular Grey’s Anatomy actor came to watch her match trumped all the other moments in her career.

After suffering an injury and taking a break because of mental health, the Canadian tennis player is working hard to make her way back into the tennis circuit. And recently, during her post-match press conference, she talked about how celebrities coming to cheer her up can be a motivational factor for her. Along with that, she reminisced about the time when she got some support from the Grey’s Anatomy actor famously known among his fandom as ‘McSteamy’.

She said, “You’re trying to impress them because it’s someone famous. They’re good at their craft. You want to show them that you’re good at your craft kind of thing. I remember it was Eric Dane, he was in my box at Indian Wells in 2019. That was really cool. Yes. Sorry. I could have said McSteamy, but I wanted to be, you know…”

However, this is not the only celebrity interaction she has had. In 2019, after she won the US Open title, she got heartfelt congratulations from the Canadian rapper Drake.

Back in 2019, the 22-year-old tennis player was eagerly waiting to hear from Drake after an amazing US Open victory. And just as she wanted, the popular rapper contacted her with an amazing message. Not only that, in a press conference with Tennis Canada, she also revealed what the 36-year-old messaged her.

The message was, ‘Here I am! 🙂 Congrats. We are all so proud of you. I’ve been liking every post with you in it… LOL.
