After iconic tennis players from America like Chris Evert, Serena Williams, and Venus Williams, the incumbent generation is blooming. And Evert sees great power and potential in players like Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, and Madison Keys.
In an interview with Eurosport, she said, “I think the Americans are very strong.” She evaluated Gauff’s performance and said, “Is this going to be the year for Coco Gauff? Is she mature enough?”
Furthermore, she posed more questions and stated, “And can she play seven matches and consistently playing her best tennis? Is she ready for that challenge?”
In a similar manner, she commented on Madison Keys and wondered if this is going to be her year as they have seen her potential. She also commented on Jessica Pegula and wondered if she can step up her game and display the same level of skill level when she played against Iga Swiatek in the semi-finals of the United Cup.
