American tennis prodigy Coco Gauff finally opened up about embracing her adulthood. This US Open champion will turn twenty this March. This means Gauff will officially end her teenage period. Recently, this American tennis star impressed her fans by revealing that she is learning to embrace adulthood. It was when fans noticed an incredible poise and determination in her attitude. Now Gauff finally speaks about the feeling of turning into an adult.

After her quarterfinal win at the Australian Open 2024, Gauff spoke about how, in her teenage years, her parents helped her in making decisions. Now that she is turning adult, she eventually has to do it all by herself. Now this tennis prodigy speaks about her feelings to Time Magazine.

Gauff was titled the Time’s Women of the Year in 2024 and, in an interview with the magazine, this US Open champion candidly revealed her fears and excitement regarding the upcoming adulthood. Gauff said, “It’s crazy to think that I’m not going to be a teenager anymore, So much of my career, people have called me the teenaged this, teenaged that.” However, being Time’s face for 2024, Gauff has already embarked on her journey of adulthood.

Like many other ordinary girls, Gauff admitted her fear of growing up. However, those days are in the past. She further commented– “At first, I was scared to grow up, But now I’m embracing adulthood. There’s always going to be change needed in this world. I hope I can play a small part.”

However, this is not the first time Gauff opened up about her adulthood feelings. After the Australian Open’s quarterfinal win, Gauff admitted that she is progressing every year. While she has to learn more about adulthood, slowly she will get there.

Gauff said about adulthood, “At first, like 15, 16, my parents were doing a lot of it for me just so I could focus on tennis. Now I’m moving into more of the role. I’m getting older, having to make more decisions, all of that, on and off court. I know myself pretty well. I know what I need to do to succeed. But not every single thing, that’s why we have coaches and people who advise me.”

Coco Gauff’s adulthood emotions express that she is like the rest of us. Despite winning a Grand Slam title, Gauff is more concerned about her success in being an adult in the true sense. At the same time, this American tennis prodigy is learning to embrace this transition and make the right choice for her career.
