‘Throwing Me Couple of Shots’ – Rapper Common Once Revealed How Serena Williams Got Caught in His Beef With Drake

The American rapper Lonnie Rashid Lynn, known by the stage name Common, sat down for an interview and spoke about the whole matter in 2014. He said, “I mean, the truth of the matter is that I was with Serena after we broke up. It was like a little period. I don’t know if her and Drake how exactly they were, but there was something going on.”

Thereafter he added, “I started feeling like Drake’s songs he was throwing me couple of shots. He was saying some pretty tough guy stuff, and I was like he is starting to talk to me and that’s when I really confronted the situation.”

The former World no.1’s relation with the Grammy-winning artist was a constant on and off situation. They kept their relation private for some time, and two years after being public, in the year 2010 they finally called it off.

Thereafter her rumors of dating the Canadian rapper Drake sparked. He became a regular to her matches, dedicated some lyrics of his songs to her, and actively mentioned Williams in his tweets.

The seven-time Wimbledon champion crossed paths with the cofounder of Reddit during one of her tournaments in Rome. Following that, they came to know each other and fell head over hells.
