Throughout her career, the Russian tennis legend Maria Sharapova was known for both her on-court and off-court endeavors. While she constantly picked up several accolades in her storied tennis career, she also focused on building a reputation as a fashion icon off the court. Recently, she attended the Balmain x Evian pop-up event in, California.
Sharapova, who is the global ambassador for Evian, shared her excitement about the collaboration between Balmain and Evian. The event celebrated the brand’s ready-to-wear capsule collection for the summer.

The new collaboration’s aesthetic aims to highlight the importance of sustainability in fashion. Maria Sharapova endorses Evian water around the world, known for its purity and quality. The 5-time Grand Slam champion has also worked with Balmain in the past. In 2018, she attended the Balmain show at Paris Fashion Week and wore a Balmain outfit. At her recent Balmain x Evian pop-up, Sharapova beamed with joy as she enjoyed the event.
The collaboration between Evian and Balmain highlights the importance of sustainability in fashion and promotes the idea that “Together, Change is Beautiful.”

Sharapova’s association with Evian goes back to 2017. Since then, she has been promoting the French company’s commitment to sustainability and eco-friendliness.

In 2012, she co-founded Sugarpova, a luxury candy company offering a range of treats, including chocolates, gummies, gumballs, and truffles. Her love of sweets also played a role in the decision to launch the brand. Sharapova, who studied management and leadership at Harvard, has successfully led the company successfully since its inception.
Following her retirement in 2020, Sharapova invested in the wellness brand Therabody (previously called Theragun) and joined as a strategic advisor to help grow the brand globally. Sharapova’s investment portfolio also includes Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC), sunscreen company Supergoop, and Public.com, an investment platform.
She even appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank as a guest investor, and partnered with Mark Cuban to invest in Bala Bangles, a wearable weights company. Sharapova’s strength as an investor comes from her 360-degree perspective as an athlete, entrepreneur, and consumer, as she combines technology, fitness, and wellness to bring balance to people’s lives.
