Grammy-nominated artist Sebastian Yatra is ready to get the US Open crowd moving and grooving to his soundtrack. But before he gets the tennis fans on their feet, he has to play an exhibition match against the world’s number-one tennis player, Carlos Alcaraz. And to get ready to play against the Spaniard, the Colombian singer is getting trained under none other than another Spanish legend, Rafael Nadal.
To help the songwriter hone his tennis skills, the 22-time Grand Slam champion turned into a coach. He is teaching him some basic tennis skills for the upcoming US Open Charity match that will take place on August 23 at the ‘Stars of the Open’.

While the 37-year-old tennis Legend is out of the ATP tour because of his struggles with injury, he decided to help the Columbian singer. Recently, the 28-year-old Grammy-nominated artist took to his Instagram account to share the huge announcement of how he is getting trained under none other than Nadal.
Yatra wrote, “Getting trained by the one and only@rafaelnadalto play with the world #1 @carlitosalcarazz🎾😳 🫶🏻🔥✨ training with my tennis idol@rafaelnadalto play with the #1 in the world@carlitosalcarazz.”

In the beginning of the video, the 28-year-old literally confronted Nadal regarding how he has no knowledge of tennis but is invited to play a match. In no time, the 37-year-old Spaniard stepped in to help him learn some basic tennis. This will certainly be a fun experience for the former world number one to test the coaching field and see whether he will be able to pull this off after his retirement.
Well, the Colombian singer is currently at Nadal’s training center in Mallorca, Spain, where he is pulling off some shots under his guidance. But this all started when, nearly four days ago, he received an unexpected phone call from the 2023 Wimbledon champion.

Just a few days ago, the 28-year-old songwriter shared a little insight into his private conversation with the 19-year-old tennis sensation. He shared a FaceTime conversation in which, in the beginning, the Colombian singer was quite confused regarding the 19-year-old contacting him.

But as soon as he picked up the call, Alcaraz invited him to come to the fan week at the US Open to play tennis with him.
