Czech tennis sensation Petra Kvitova has been out of the 2024 season. The former world No. 2, who announced her pregnancy in December last year, was in scintillating form last season. Kvitova won her first Miami Open title in her 13th appearance and then the Berlin Open in June. Since her pregnancy news broke out, the tennis world has been speculating about her comeback date.
Married to her coach, the Czech star tied the knot with Jiri Vanek last July. Once lamenting the absence of fans after games resumed post covid, Petra Kvitova is now teasing her fans regarding her comeback who have been missing her aggressive match-winning rallies.

The 2 time Grand Slam winner Kvitova recently took to Instagram to tease fans who have been speculating about her comeback. The Czechian, however, is enjoying her maternity leave with her husband and posted a picture with him on her handle.

The picture shows the adorable couple in the foreground of an exotically picturesque location and is teasingly captioned “Who knows when we are back🤰” Giving her fans one more reason to celebrate, the 34-year-old had announced her pregnancy on New Year’s Eve last year.
“On the first day of 2024, I wanted to wish you a happy new year and share the exciting news that Jiri and I will be welcoming a baby into our family this summer!” wrote Kvitova announcing her pregnancy with her first child. The announcement came as a surprise to everyone as she had already been included in the Australian Open’s entry list.
The other half of the couple is Kvitova’s long-time coach Jiri Vanek, who has been instrumental in her rise to tennis stardom. It seems the couple is big on well-timed social announcements.
‘Mr and Mrs’ – Petra Kvitova
Kvitova had one of her best years in recent times with memorable milestones both on and off the court last year and got married to her long-time coach and boyfriend Jiri Vanek in July. She took to Instagram to announce her wedding and posted a dreamy-looking picture with Vanek which was captioned, “Mr and Mrs 22.7.2023”

Kvitova got married to Vanek last year in July after getting engaged at the 2022 Wimbledon Championship. Vanek had popped the question to Kvitova just after she was honored at the All England Club as part of the center court’s anniversary celebration.

The two tied the knot at a luxury resort just outside Prague. The marriage was attended by the couple’s close acquaintances which included Kvitova’s close friend and colleague Barbora Strycova who had recently won her Wimbledon Women’s doubles crown.
The internet-savvy Kvitova keeps her fans updated about her travels and routine sessions. Regularly posting pictures from the gym and the court, it is safe to say that a comeback is surely on her mind!
