While talking about her poor run at the ongoing ?Wimbledon Championship,? the Chinese tennis star brought to light her recent struggles with various issues including homesickness.

She said, “After my grandparents passed away, I started thinking about the meaning of life. I am 34. I’ve played tennis for 29 years. I’ve tried all my best, but everyone has a limit. I feel deeply tired, especially mentally. I miss Chinese food in China.”

Taking note of her situation, even her opponent, Donna Veki? was quite sympathetic as she dropped her reaction in the comments section.

The WTA player’s adversities might have had a major impact on her form during this season. Apart from the Wimbledon Championships, the Chinese tennis star also had a poor campaign at other major events.

Zhang Shuai’s run at other Grand Slam events
