Even though she took it hilariously, she made sure to put forward her firm point and disapproval. Taking a dig, she jokingly asserted that people get paid to talk about her.

Following her Madrid loss and giving Rome a miss, Osaka finally entered the 2022 French Open with high hopes. She kicked off her campaign against 27th seed, Amanda Anisimova. The two started the first set on a high note, with both players giving their best. However, Amanda won the first set.
The second set started on a similar note, with both players playing at a high level. Eventually, Anisimova broke Osaka’s serve mid-set to take the lead. Maintaining the lead, she went on to outplay the 4-time Grand Slam champion, 7-5, 6-4.
