Maria Sharapova reveals how Frank Gehry described a little collection
During an interview, the former World Number 1 revealed her love for architecture. She said, “I love architecture, that’s kind of the design area that I was really fascinated by… I would photograph his different buildings all around the world and I’d send them to my mom as a souvenir because she wasn’t traveling with me when I was on tour and it became like my little thing to do when I was in a different city.”
Further, she added, “I would hunt down a Frank Gehry building, and then when I started working with Tiffany, he had a collection with them and I got to go to his studio and we worked on a pair of earrings together and he shared a secret with me. And he had this little collection of what looked like hearts as part of the collection and he says, let me tell you a secret and I was like, oh my god, Frank Gehry’s telling me a secret and he’s like those are not hearts, they’re b**ts.”

Sharapova’s retirement
The Russian tennis star called it quits after the Australian Open in 2020. Bidding adieu to tennis after an illustrious 19-year career, Sharapova achieved many highs on the court.
