Williams will be playing her last US Open

Serena Williams has an incredible record at the US Open, winning it six times. Serena recently announced her retirement from tennis. The American played his first singles match of the year at Wimbledon, losing in the opening round. She later competed in the Canadian Open, defeating Nuria Parrizas Diaz 6-3, 6-4 in the first round. However, she lost in the second round to Belinda Bencic, 6-2, 6-4.

The 40-year-old then competed in the Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati, where she lost in the opening round to Emma Raducanu. Given her age and the fact that she’s only played four singles matches since Wimbledon last year, expectations for this year’s US Open aren’t too high for her.

But Williams still has a little bit left in the tank and can make a ruckus in New York. She hopes to dazzle viewers at Flushing Meadows and this seems to be the last chance in her illustrious career to do so.
