In the recent episode of Business Dad Ohanian had a conversation with Spanish American chef Jose Andres and indulged in interesting topics from Paella to Parenting. At one point in their discussion, Andres refers to the challenges of the fathers in parenthood. He mentioned that mothers are more inclined to their kids’ choices since they share more DNA traits, whereas fathers need to be around their kids to know them and understand what they prefer. “As men we have to learn it, acquire it,”- he said. Andres mentions it, especially for those children born with more “maternal instincts.” Ohanian supported Andres’ statement and backed it up with his opinion. “They’re carrying the baby around for 9 months.” He expresses how mothers grow their motherhood by carrying their babies for so long in their wombs.

Now, Serena Williams’ husband has been making a lot of rounds for the interesting parenting topics he discusses in his podcast. Earlier this month, he had a talk with another businessman Bobby Kim in his podcast, where he spoke at length about his take on “gentle-ish parenting. However, what struck the audience is Ohanian mentioned how fatherhood is not one of his “strongest parts” of the identity. Despite that, this Reddit co-founder admitted that being a father has definitely brought a “shift in things” in his life. He revealed further how he wishes to guide his daughters to their dreams and inspire them with his work.
