Venus Williams is once again back on the court with her astounding perseverance despite facing an injury at Wimbledon. The tennis star faced a slip and fell during her first-round match against Elina Svitolina at Wimbledon. Nonetheless, she is back. The love for the sport and the arduous training has kept her coming back for more. It is not her mental strength that is holding her back from giving her best, but it is what is on the outer side.
The tennis legend is 43 years old nearing her three-decade anniversary on the court. So, injuries are difficult on her physical form but it will take more than a few injuries for Venus Williams to get off of the court.

The seven-time Grand Slam champion is all geared up for her next tournament. The player missed all her tournaments following Wimbledon to recuperate from her injury. The slip during the Wimbledon led to a swelling in her feet.
Nonetheless, she is back in action at the Omnium Banque Nationale. She will be playing in this tournament after her last run in 2018. As reported by WTA, she stated, “I really fought my utmost to be here. Icing five times a day, therapy three times a day, praying, all sorts of interventions.”
This paved the way as she now will go against world no. 16 Madison Keys in the first round of the tournament. She stated, “I love what I do and over the past few years for me, they haven’t been healthy years.” With her age, the injuries have taken a toll on her health, but this year has been good for her.
Venus Williams lost to Jelena Ostapenko in the Birmingham Classic. However, that was not before Williams notched up a victory against Camila Giorgi. So, she has always put her training first even though she could be doing other intriguing things in her life.
The constant choice to put tennis above everything else shows her love for the support. Nonetheless, this has not held her back from her off-court endeavors.

Williams closes multiple charitable projects
The 43-year-old has always been an integral part of major changes in the WTA. She was the torchbearer of equal pay in WTA during her peak. Off the court, she recently has combined her love for art with charity.
Proving that, she amassed $6 million to preserve the childhood home of Nina Simone. Following that, she also led an auction whose funds were given to Yetunde Price Resource Center.

Both these projects boast of collaborations with renowned artists whose pieces were auctioned off for the projects.
