Former tennis player Rennae Stubbs recently opened up on the dispute involving Coco Gauff’s match against Karolina Pliskova. Stubbs’s major focus was on the point where Gauff attempted to involve the supervisor, which was left unanswered. She mentioned, “I’ve already tweeted about this what he was saying if it’s a rule like if it’s a rule interpretation, you can ask for the chair of the supervisor.”
Stubbs highlighted the umpire’s unwillingness to involve the supervisor, despite Gauff’s request. She criticized the way Pierre Bacchi handled the situation, stating, “He should’ve known better that he said for a fact out after the ball was basically that was the worst f**king Call I’ve seen long time.”
Stubbs suggested that the umpire’s failure to call for the supervisor was a critical error that added more intensity to the controversy. She shared her belief that the umpire mishandled the call and tried to cover it up later on, and it clearly defined the reason that simulated the whole argument.
