It was once such a moot point as to who the Greatest Of All Time between Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Rafael Nadal was. But now, statistically, it has become unquestionable as to who that is. And it is none other than Novak Djokovic himself. He has dominated the men’s circuit comfortably for more than a decade now. The Serbian showed glimpses of his dominance in 2011 and ever since; he has gained the upper hand in men’s tennis with an impenetrable stronghold. While many people may still have reservations about why he is not the greatest, Spanish sensation Paula Badosa seconds the G.O.A.T label for Djoker.

Paula Badosa appears to be in awe of Djokovic and has dished out superlatives to praise him for being the great player that he is. Djokovic has been receiving praise from everywhere after passing his arch-rival Rafael Nadal‘s record of 22 Grand Slam titles. And Badosa isn’t exempt from heaping praises on him either.

She called him a ‘beast’ in terms of being mentally strongest in the sport. She called his dominance ‘crazy’ and in addition to calling his mental fortitude the best, she also called his tennis the most complete. Badosa commended his unmatched fitness as well.

In an interview with El Larguero, she said, “He [Novak Djokovic] has everything: mentally he’s a beast. With everything he’s been through, going out and competing like this. Competing and being so superior in every competition seems crazy to me. And tennis wise he’s the most complete. And physically he takes so much care of himself… It’s brutal. Right now you can’t say anything other than that he’s the best. He’s shown it. The numbers are the numbers.” [translated via Google]

Once upon a time in men’s tennis, Pete Sampras’ 14 Grand Slams stood as a record for a long time. Then Federer came along, and it was his 17 that was the record for a while. Then it was Nadal’s for a while. But now, it’s amazing how one could reach up to 23. That’s really amazing and every tennis fan, regardless of their preferences, must take their hat to Novak Djokovic for achieving this mammoth feat.
