In an interview with a Czech news outlet, the 24-year-old tennis star talked about how, even after giving her 100%, the overall condition of the court was something that created difficulty for her.

She said, “I’m glad to be here, but the conditions are really difficult. The first set was good and I want to take some positives from it. Otherwise, it’s quite difficult here. There is a nice beach here, but overall the conditions are bad for us. Girls complain too. I think that the court is not ready for such matches to be played on it.”

Further, she also praised Cancun for its beautiful beaches, But at the same time, she shared her take on how the court in Cancun is not the perfect spot to have a tournament like the WTA Finals. Subsequently, she is not the only one who has raised concern regarding the court’s upsetting condition.

She remarked, “About the court, I don’t really want to talk. Because everything was late and there was no time to fix anything. I think the quality of the match wasn’t the greatest.”

She also emphasized how difficult it is for everyone to thrive on the Cancun courts. She expressed how difficult it is for everyone to perform.
