Naomi Osaka is exploring the cryptocurrency world

Cryptocurrency is a rapidly growing space around the world. Many people globally are investing in cryptocurrency, with good results. Now, the former World No.1 Naomi Osaka has shared that she has an interest in the zone. She has signed some great deals over the years, and has minted millions of dollars. In an interview last week, the 23-year-old explained her desire to know more about cryptocurrencies.

“I was actually talking with my agent about cryptocurrencies,” quoted the 4-time Grand Slam champion. She continued, “I know that online, everything is getting bigger. I remember reading about Dogecoin.. there’s going to be something new and interesting that’s going to pop up.” She also spoke about how athletes need to be smart with their money during the short span of their careers. “As athletes, our career isn’t that long, and so I just like being very smart with it. I like when my agent tells me there’s opportunities.”

Osaka is currently chasing 5th Slam at US Open 2021

Aside from her off-court glamour, the Japanese star has rocked the WTA Tour for a while now. Every time the hard-court majors arrive, there is a chill in the air, as the playing field knows that Naomi is around. In 2018-19 and 2020-21, the World No.3 captured the US Open and Australian Open back-to-back. And now, she is chasing her 5th Grand Slam at Flushing Meadows.

Osaka kicked off her campaign against Marie Bouzkova. Being the defending champion, the young sensation has 2000 points to defend at New York. She will thus be looking to go as deep as possible in the draw. However, it will not be an easy task, as Osaka is likely to run into either Sloane Stephens or Angelique Kerber in Round-4. Following this, a quarterfinal clash against Elina Svitolina or Simona Halep is on the cards.
