The 23-time Major champion penned an essay for Vogue magazine. Outlining her reasons for retiring as well as her future plans. Although she plans to compete at the US Open this year, it may be the last time she plays in her professional career.

And as Serena is entering her new phase, Rick Macci took to Twitter and captioned it “@Serenawilliams has given the world something we have never seen ever before and tennis was her stage. Her impact after tennis will inspire millions that anything yes anything, is possible.”

According to former coach Rick Macci, Serena Williams’ retirement was not a surprise. And it’s a good decision as she took it at the right time. Macci explained that Williams has inspired millions of people and will continue to inspire them.
