Coco Gauff has established her hold in both the Singles and the Doubles categories on the court. However, her astounding Singles run this year at the US Open is making people cross their fingers on-court as she strides with a sure footing in the major. The American tennis sensation has made it to the semi-finals of the US Open. Coco Gauff is all set to face off against French Open finalist Karolina Muchova. On the other hand, she recently lost along with her partner Jessica Pegula in the doubles quarter-finals. Now, tennis experts and pundits are worried about the impact her doubles run might have on her singles run – with fans chiming in as well.
Many, many pundits/commentators have said that they don't think Coco Gauff playing doubles in these circumstances is good for her singles chances – & Brad Gilbert on Sky earlier suggested he would prefer she wasn't.

One fan stated their worry about her upcoming match with Muchova, saying, “I was wondering the same thing.” Another fan had a bizarre wish that did not work in Gauff’s favor. However, their motive of looking at the larger picture was clear. The fan wanted Gauff to have time to recuperate for her upcoming Singles semi-finals.

Renowned tennis journalist Jose Morgado also expressed his concern for Gauff’s Singles bid. He pointed out the grueling weather conditions at the US Open which led Andrey Rublev and Daniil Medvedev to suffer the brunt of the heat. Medvedev even had to call for a doctor twice during his match.

However, there was yet another fan who looked at the situation from a different angle.
Instead of owing a possible mishap to her Doubles run, they focused on the training schedule which takes a toll on the players.
It’s more of an impact on scheduling practice, working in recovery times… it’s not the actual wear and tear from the Match. They have harder workouts in practice off days than Dubs.
