A year back, Genie threw a theme birthday party for her close ones. The theme for her party was Barbie, which is as of now a very famous trend. In one of her Instagram stories, Genie claimed that she was ahead of her time as she discovered this pink Barbie trend a year before this went viral globally.

In the story, she also wrote, “Happy Barbie Day. I would like to humbly remind you all that I was ahead of my time with the Barbie trend. This was my Barbie-themed birthday party last year.

And in the same story, she also shared an old post from her Instagram account in which she can be seen holding a Barbie doll dressed up all pink just like people are doing all over the internet today.

Genie’s love for pink and Barbie does not end with one story

Continuing on the same thread of Instagram stories, Genie Bouchard posted multiple photos from her birthday party. She shared many Barbie-related captions on her previous posts, which she reshared because of the trend and to continue to provide evidence for her claim. She wrote the infamous line from the Barbie song, “I Am a Barbie Girl” in one of her captions.

Further, she also shared more photos of herself dressed in pink outfits. This streak of photos and stories clearly proves Genie’s point that she was in fact ahead of time as she predicted the trend even before anyone knew anything about the movie Barbie, or that this trend would drive everyone crazy!
