“Fashion has always been important to me,” once said Donna Vekic in an interview. Fashion has evoked a sense of “enjoyment” in the Croatian player, who emphasizes the importance of “looking good” both on and off the court. Channeling this mindset into her business ventures, last year, she created her own womenswear line as well, named “Donna Sports.” And her latest photo spread (as she graces the cover of NOWVIZ Magazine) is a masterclass in elegance and sophistication, and fans cannot get enough of it!

After her knee surgery in 2021, Donna Vekic has struggled to regain her momentum in tennis, and last year she almost decided to retire! Thankfully, she didn’t have to, as Vekic bounced back, and not only qualified for a semi-final match at the 2024 Wimbledon but also won the silver medal in the Paris Olympics. However, throughout the tough time in her tennis career, Vekic remained firm about her aims “outside of tennis.” 

Talking about her vision for “Donna Sports,” she said, “Our main vision is to have a very classy, chic brand. When I think of myself, I would like to think that I’m pretty classy, both on and off the court, and I want my clothes to represent that.” A year has passed since she debuted in the fashion world, and now she collaborates with NOWVIZ, a magazine featuring some amazing pictures with “interesting” reads about people. 

The official Instagram account of the magazine posted some stunning pictures of Donna Vekic wearing a white suit and trouser, a silver short dress, and a black dress (with high heels). The caption of the post read, “@donnavekic takes the lead with our latest issue from front to back!!! She’s continued her 2024 hot run on court and off court in front of the camera! Incredible pics and conversation about life and tennis.”

Witnessing the 28-year-old player’s full white outfit with a white necklace, one fan said, “Tennis athlete can be a model 😍 but not the other way around.” Not only off the court, earlier in an interview, Donna Vekic confessed how she is cautious about her dresses on-court as well, often trying to avoid matching her dress with her opponent in a match, but sometimes it “happens anyway…even more on the men’s side.” She further urged, “So it’ll be really nice to see more fashion variety on the court.”

Moreover, in a fun banter with the Croatian player, Borna Coric, who hilariously stated, “Scrolling through my photos and just realized Yianni (his team member) and @DonnaVekic buy their dresses in the same boutique.” To this, Vekic protested and added, how it is “still miles ahead of yours,” referring to Coric. Moreover, even when there is a dress code in a tournament like Wimbledon, Vekic knows how to express her fashion statements. Although she wore the full white dress during the tournament this year, her oval-shaped nails displayed Wimbledon-themed art, incorporating the event’s iconic colors (green and purple) into the design. Fans loved the style, and now they are once again appreciating her beauty for her latest style on Instagram as one fan wrote, “Absolutely beautiful, stunning and gorgeous 🤍.”
