Eugenie Bouchard is one of the most sensational talents on the WTA Tour. Since turning pro in 2009, Bouchard has played incredible tennis and has garnered a huge fan following. Genie first burst onto the scene after defeating Elina Svitolina of Ukraine in the 2012 Wimbledon Juniors final.
In 2014, reached the final of the Wimbledon Championships but unfortunately couldn’t grab her first major. Because of the huge fan following that Bouchard has, she also has to deal with people who use insulting language towards her on social media. In a recent such instance, she shut down the troll in style.

Eugenie Bouchard gives a fitting reply to a disrespectful follower on Instagram
Bouchard recently shared a promotional photo for the “Slinger” brand she endorses via her Instagram account. Unfortunately, not all of 2.1 M followers seem to be fans of her, as one follower decided to troll her on the photo commenting, “Surprised u still play”. Bouchard hit back at the person with a witty response.
She said, “Surprised you follow me”. Many fans liked and appreciated her witty reply and the original commenter didn’t have anything to add.

Some of her followers asked her about her health and a possible comeback. The comment was also making fun of Bouchard’s injury issues as the 27-year-old has had terrible luck with multiple layoffs.

Bouchard’s endorsements
In 2015, Bouchard was named no.1 marketable athlete by SportsPro. She was in her prime and signed multi-year contracts with Coca-cola, Nike, Aviva, and Babolat. Also, as we can see in her post, she endorses Slinger Bags.

Nevertheless, the Canadian certainly shut down the follower with a witty reply. We hope she can make her comeback soon and further silence her doubters.
