After having an extraordinary season in 2023, everyone expected Coco Gauff to repeat the same in 2024 as well. She started the season with a title triumph at the ASB Classic in Auckland. Talking about her opponent from Hollywood, FL- Sachia Vickery is a former USTA junior national champion. She has also won three singles and 3 doubles titles on the ITF circuit. Her best result this year came at the ITF Mexico 01A, where she reached the SF. In the last match, Vickery faced the Belarusian tennis player Aliaksandra Sasnovich. She defeated Sasnovich in the first-round clash by 7-6(2),7-5 to reach the second round in Stuttgart.
In that match, Sachia Vickery could only manage to hit a single ace and committed 3 double faults in total. Vickery won 7 of her service games in that match. Now, shifting our focus to her overall stat for this year, the 28-year-old tennis player has managed to hit only 4 aces so far this season and committed 12 double faults. Her win-loss record for this season is 18-5, while Sachia Vickery’s win-loss record in the 2024 season is 12-8. Both the tennis players are extremely good movers on the court.

But Coco Gauff has more ammunition in her armory than her opponent. If we look at her form, consistency, and her performances against top WTA stars this year, then Gauff clearly looks to be a favorite in this contest by a good margin. But having said that, tennis has always surprised us with some unusual results, so even though Coco Gauff looks to have the edge in this contest. Sachia Vickery would love to make it a tough contest.
