Just when everyone thought that they would be seeing an all-American final featuring Coco Gauff and Madison Keys at the US Open, the newly crowned WTA World No. 1 wasn’t having any of it. After performing brilliantly throughout the tournament, she had the tough task of facing Aryna Sabalenka in the semi-finals. In a semifinal match that promised all the drama and action, it was the Belarusian who took away the match and secured her seat in the finale. After suffering elimination, Madison took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message.

Madison Keys, the American tennis star, couldn’t hold back her emotions after a tough loss in the semi-final of the US Open against Aryna Sabalenka. The match went on for three sets, with Keys giving her best. But in the end, Sabalenka had the last laugh, and Keys was left heartbroken.

Fans had been excited about the possibility of Keys facing off against another young American talent, Coco Gauff, in the US Open final. The prospect of this showdown made her loss even more painful.
