The preparations for the Wimbledon Championships are reaching its final stages. Iga Swiatek, surprisingly, chose to not participate in any grass court events before the championships. While her rivals, Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina, are playing in as many grass tournaments as possible. Nick Kyrgios just withdrew from the Mallorca Open to stay fit for the Grass Slam. But nothing screams unconventional than playing golf to prepare for a Grand Slam. That is exactly what the American WTA star Jessica Pegula did.
The internet went ablaze over it, and many prominent entities commented on her preparation method. Pegula posted the video on Instagram, and she received nothing but encouragement and praise, even from the golf legends.

The former number two is eyeing her first Grand Slam title of her career. Although her singles campaign at Roland Garros ended in disappointment, in doubles, though, she was paired with Coco Gauff and reached the semifinals. They were beaten by fellow American Taylor Townsend and Leylah Fernandez.
The twenty-nine-year-old does not boast a rich record on grass. She played Wimbledon only thrice in her career and did not get past the third round. But in other Slams, she reached the quarterfinals five times, which indicated that she needs to work more on her game when it comes to grass.
