Coco Gauff’s season didn’t amount to much. However, she has run the off-court show multiple times this year! After leading the pack of tennis players on SportsPro’s list of 50 Most Marketable Athletes, Gauff’s popularity among the masses is portrayed again through a special mention. Recently, the 20-year-old tennis star received a surprise mention in American rapper Tyler, The Creator’s new song, ‘Thought I Was Dead‘ from his upcoming album ‘Chromakopia.‘ Just a few hours ago, Gauff shared an IG story featuring the same song.
This pleasant surprise on Saturday morning has perhaps put Coco Gauff on cloud nine! We saw Tyler sharing a few glimpses of his new track on his social media account. In that song, there is a part where the singer is seen saying, “B–ch, you ain’t Coco Gauff, you can’t serve me.” Coco Gauff has hit just 228 aces this season and committed 407 double faults! Her serve has been the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons in the last few months, but that’s a different story! Let’s now enjoy the tunes of this renowned American singer, like Gauff has been doing over the last few days.
Coco Gauff is a big fan of Tyler! In November 2023, we saw this tennis star attending the 2023 Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival music festival in Los Angeles. This Carnival is an annual music festival created by rapper and producer, Tyler, The Creator. Gauff donned a varsity jacket from Tyler, the Creator’s lifestyle brand, ‘Golf Le Fleur‘. Imagine getting featured in your favorite singer’s newly released song. You‘d be excited too, right?

This is absolutely insane.” She even commented on the rapper’s post saying, “Me waking up today on tyler song w-f 😭.” Now, just a few hours ago, she uploaded an IG story. In that story, she highlighted that portion of the song in which there was this special mention.

Not only Gauff, we even saw her rumored boyfriend, Jalen Sera expressing his amazement with a post on his IG story. Sera first commented on Tyler’s post with a “😮💨” reaction and then he went on to put up an IG story in which he captioned an acronym, “YACGYCSM!” Clearly, his love for this song was reflected through these two reactions. Jalen Sera, an Atlant-based guitarist, has a special love for music. Now, the question is, what role does music play in Coco Gauff’s life?

Music plays a big role in Coco Gauff‘s life! She has time and again spoken about how she prefers to put on some music while doing her daily exercises. Previously, in a video of USTA, Gauff revealed, “I just like to listen to music, while doing whatever I’m doing. Yeah, I mean, the bike is calming. It gets repetitive for me, so I do switch it up, between the treadmill and the bike but, as long as I have music, I think it’s the most relaxing.” Listening to music helps her to relax her mind a bit. Is it the same reason why we see her at times, putting the headphones on before her matches?

Well, interesting during a previous interview, Coco Gauff said, “Some people don’t know this, before I go on court I like to play loud music because I actually don’t like to hear you guys when I walk on bc it makes me nervous. So I put on music.” After going through a lot of ups and downs this season, Gauff must have carefully devised such moments of relaxation before jumping onto some high-pressure situations. She’ll next be in action at the 2024 WTA Finals. This will be her third appearance at this season-ending tournament. Can she fight the likes of Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka to put an end to her 2024 season on a higher note?
