The 23 times Grand Slam champion Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian is a man with an interest in a variety of things. In terms of sports, he follows golf, football, and, of course, tennis. Further apart from sports, he loves traveling, attending music concerts, and collecting valuable rookie cards.

Recently, Serena Williams’ trading card broke records and became the highest-priced card. The news overwhelmed Ohanian with joy, as he understands the worth of such cards. Therefore, he took on Twitter to share his happiness.
Alexis Ohanian shares his feelings
On Saturday, the Serena Williams’ 2003 NETPRO signed patch rookie card was sold for $266,400. The largest amount ever paid for a female athlete card. Therefore, the proud husband of Williams
wrote, “This is her best card. I’ve got the other PSA 8 AUTO 10 in my @OnlyAltOfficial vault. This was someone else. Still massively undervalued IMO. But when I started collecting all @serenawilliams’ grails 4 years ago, the Kournikova RCs were more expensive. it was so obvious.”This is her best card. As he has been collecting the former World no.1’s cards for so long, it slightly disappointed him that he could not get his hands on this one. And he expressed himself by writing, “I didn’t win *this* one! I’ve been collecting the ultimate Serena collection for 4 years now. I’m ok with a few other folks enjoying some wins.”

Thereafter, Ohanian shared how he loves the well-deserved attention women tennis players are getting and confessed that the collection he has made will stay in the family-like family jewels. As he wrote, “The Serena Collection I’ve built is going to stay in our family for all-time. Our great great grandchildren and beyond will hopefully appreciate my investment and their great great grandma’s legacy.”

Serena Williams has been on the sidelines since last year’s Wimbledon championship. She accidentally slipped and incurred a hamstring injury during her first match against the Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich. Since then, she has made no official announcement about her return.

Recently Williams hinted at the comeback in the upcoming grass-based Grand slam. During the Miami bitcoin conference, Williams spoke about preparing for the 2022 Wimbledon championship. However, if she wishes to claim her 24th Grand Slam title, she will have to devise strategies to win against old rivals such as Simona Halep and the rising stars such as Iga Swiatek.
