Corey Gauff said, “We knew that she would be a good tennis player. She was working really hard. Did we know that they would embrace her in the world like they are? No, we had no clue.”

Gauff and her parents not only have a great parent-child relationship but also consider themselves as close friends. They can be often seen cheering her at the tournaments. The American sensation had a humble upbringing and once described the values she received from her father.

Because it took, you know, one person to help uplift him and that made a difference in his life which by-product made a difference in my life and maybe I can continue that cycle with some other kid.”
