Being one of the most experienced players on the tour, the American possesses immense knowledge about the challenges involved in making it to the top. Recently, she provided her insights on being successful on the tour during a question-and-answer session on Instagram.

Venus Williams shares her approach to be successful in tennis

The legendary American responded to a fan question on her Instagram story. Venus was asked, “Can you win if you are only defensive and not attacking?” 

To this, she replied, “I would say you can win a lot of matches, but you won’t win the big matches. Someone else is gonna step up and take it while you are defending. So, if you wanna go big, you have to step a foot forward and attack. It’s the only way.”

Venus Williams has not been active for some time now and her fans were speculating that she would make a comeback at this year’s Wimbledon.
