Garbine Muguruza recently emerged as the champion of the WTA Finals 2021. She defeated Anett Kontaveit in straight sets in the finals of the tournament and became the first Spanish tennis player to win the title in the history of the sport. The final scoreline of the match was 6-3, 7-5.
Even though Garbine Muguruza didn’t enjoy a great start as she lost her very first match against Karolina Pliskova, she made a terrific comeback after that. Interestingly, she lost just two sets in her whole campaign in Guadalajara, Mexico.
