King Richard movie nominated for PGA Awards

The nominations for the Producers Guild of America Awards were announced yesterday. King Richard was nominated for the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures. Further, some other films to be nominated in this category included Don’t Look Up, West Side Story, The Power of the Dog, etc. Chiefly, King Richard will be competing against nine other films for the prestigious award this year.

King Richard, via its official Twitter handle, shared this exciting news. The caption read, “Join us in cheering King Richard’s Producers Guild of America Awards nomination for Best Picture of the Year! We’re so proud of all the amazing work.”

The film has won several laurels and accolades in the past. Will Smith won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor-Motion Picture Drama. Additionally, the movie was voted as the Movie of the Year at the American Film Institute Awards.
