Australian World No.1 Ashleigh Barty had a spectacular 2021 season. Although she did not compete after the US Open, she had played and won enough tournaments already. And now, the 25-year-old is spending her off-season teaching tennis to her niece Lucy and her friends. Indeed, the best part of Barty’s week and arguably the best photo of the week for tennis fans.
Undoubtedly, Barty is one of the warmest and most kind personalities in the tennis society. As a result, her place among the little ones fits as a fiddle. And along with tennis racquets, all the kids also carried a big smile in the picture.

Ashleigh Barty becomes tennis coach for her niece Lucy and her friends
In 2021, Barty won five WTA titles, including Wimbledon, Miami Open, and Cincinnati Masters. Consequently, she also became the year-end World No.1 player for the second consecutive year.
More importantly, the Australian professional had spent an exhausting time on the road and away from home this season. That is why she decided to end the season early, despite qualifying for the WTA Finals 2021.

Furthermore, Barty had planned to spend the long break to recover and rejuvenate her before the coming season. And what could be a better way for that than playing and coaching tennis to little ones?
“Special time coaching Lucy and her friends. The best part of my week,” Barty captioned their adorable picture. Naturally, many comments poured in on the same.

Firstly, the former World No.1 Caroline Wozniacki labeled the picture as “So cute.” Then, the Australian comedian and friend Tanya Hennessy also commented on the photo. “I assume my sesh will be next year? … I recently learnt the rules, via your sister ahhahaha.”
Additionally, the Australian television presenter Tara Rushton called them “Cuties,” whereas Australian Olympic champion Jessica Fox duplicated Wozniacki.
Moreover, the former tennis doubles legend Rennae Stubbs and Masterchef-famed Reece Hignell also added their remarks on Barty’s and her team photo. They wrote, “I see you’re pulling out my bucket hat for coaching trick!” and “Wimby champs in the making,” respectively.
Even Barty’s tennis racquets sponsor, Head, reflected on the adorable image. “Wow, they are lucky,” it said.
