For French tennis star Caroline Garcia, that dream is about to become a reality, thanks to a special announcement she made with her boyfriend, Borja Duran. The couple took to social media to share their heartwarming engagement news, sparking a wave of joy and congratulations from fans and fellow players alike.

Caroline and her partner’s romance is not new and unknown. When the 30-year-old displayed her love for adventure with a compilation of images from her journey to Antarctica at the end of November 2023, fans first became aware of Caroline Garcia dating. In the posts she shared, Caroline wrote, “I’m so grateful for those days; the opportunity to share it with my partner and discover this magical place together will live in me forever.

On Wednesday, this relationship channeled further to a life-long commitment as the duo announced their engagement. Taking to his Instagram account, Borja posted a picture of the duo in which the star player can be seen flaunting her engagement ring. “Mr. and Mrs. coming soon 💍❤️,” the caption of the post read. Caroline also made a similar post on her Twitter account. Soon after the post was made, wishes started to pour in from several players from the community.

Sloane Stephens commented on the post and wrote, “Congratulations ❤️❤️❤️❤️.” She was joined by Elina Svitolina who commented “😍😍😍😍. ” Several other players joined the fray and wished the couple well. Maria Sakkari, the Greece tennis star commented reflecting her joy over the news. “Yaaaayyy 😍❤️🤗,” she wrote. As the couple is all set to venture into the new phase of life, they are not just connected romantically!

The professional venture of Caroline Garcia and Borja Duran

The World No.22, along with her boyfriend had started a new endeavor at the beginning of 2024. It was nothing but the Tennis Insider Podcast. The podcast aims to engage in exclusive interviews with the players to conversations with coaches or agents. The French-Spanish pair serve as co-hosts of the English-language podcast. While Garcia is responsible for sourcing the interview subjects, Duran takes on production-editing responsibilities.

Caroline had revealed earlier that the podcast had started after Duran started traveling with her when she was going through a tough phase. After he realized the behind-the-scenes lives of the players, the couple together started the podcast. Speaking about the podcast, Garcia had earlier said that her experiences on the court and Duran’s worldview off of it helped them with the podcast’s growth.

We think what helps us is the combination of my experience on the tour and Borja’s experience off the tour. We have different points of view and so we ask different questions.” The couple have interviewed several renowned phases including the likes of Alize Cornet.

She also revealed that the podcast helps in their romantic growth as well. “As a couple, it’s a great memory to share time outside the tennis court.Meanwhile, Caroline is currently practicing on the Grass courts as Wimbledon is around the corner. It will be interesting to see how positively the blossoming love impacts her game in the days to come.
