Amanda Anisimova and Darren Cahill end their partnership
The Australian coach had a short but successful stint with the 20-year-old before he decided to call it quits. After having their first practice together here at Indian Wells, Darren Cahill told Amanda Anisimova the next day that he’d hit a wall and was burnt out, unable to commit to the tour, abruptly ending their coaching partnership.
It had nothing to do with Anisimova, Cahill told her, just that he’s been struggling particularly with tough quarantine rules around travel to Australia. Further, Cahill will be going back to Australia soon to rest. Meanwhile, Anisimova will continue with Hleb Maslau & Rob Brandsma as her team.
