Simona Halep reportedly splits with coaches Adrian Marcu and Daniel Dobre after Australian Open 2022
After the pre-quarters exit in Melbourne, Halep has reportedly parted ways with both her current coaches – Daniel Dobre and Adrian Marcu. Adrian joined Halep’s team as a successor to Cahill, while Daniel had been a part of the Romanian’s entourage for a while. The news of this termination was reported by Romanian outlet, Digisport.
Halep parted ways with long-time coach and friend Darren Cahill in September last year. Cahill played a huge role in shaping Halep as a world champion and worked with her closely on the psychological aspect of the game. It was a mutual decision to split as Cahill moved on to coach American youngster, Amanda Anisimova.
When Marcu joined her team for the first time after Cahill left, Halep was glad to have found a replacement.
