Simona Halep had to face a brutal defeat at the French Open 2022 and this had taken a toll on the Romanian player. She has been one of the greatest tennis players in the past decade and achieved a career-high ranking of world no. 1 as well.

The player now has been working hard for the Birmingham Classic. Recently, she shared a new partnership with a Romanian tennis project to promote the sport in her country.
Simona Halep takes steps to promote tennis
Simona Halep took to Instagram to announce her partnership with the TennisWin project. She captioned the post, “I have a few minutes to spare, in between training for Birmingham, and thought I’d share, in a few words, why I joined the TennisWin project.”

She continued by stating, “It is a 100% Romanian project, for all those passionate about tennis, beginners or professionals.”

She further said that it is an online mall of sports articles and also a social networking site for tennis lovers. Furthermore, she stated, “I also made an account and I will post frequently. I’ve noticed that some of you have already started posting pictures playing tennis.”

Before summing it all up, she expressed her enthusiasm for this initiative for all the tennis lovers. She concluded, “You can message me before Birmingham! You know how much your messages and support mean to me! Now that’s it! Back on the court!”

Romanian star in 2022
Simona Halep had been on a hiatus and had made a comeback at the Madrid Open, where she reached the quarter-finals.

Both in the Italian Open and the French Open, the Romanian tennis star couldn’t get past the second round. Following the clay-court season, she has now been focusing on beginning the grass-court season on a high in the Birmingham Classic.
