Can Coco Gauff's denim collection revolutionize tennis attire, or is it just a passing trend?

I’ve always been a jean girl, so working with such an iconic jeans company is exciting,” – Coco Gauff. The 20-year-old self-proclaimed denim fan and tennis champion has been working with American Eagle since she was 16. And as it goes, she obviously would be very excited to partner with them to try out some “cool” stuff from their Exclusive Collections. Now, she wants her fans to show “love” and similar excitement for her trailblazing pleated denim tennis-core collection.

Coco Gauff was recently posing for the latest collaboration. She took the internet by storm with her denim jacket, which had a “Thank you to the people who didn’t believe in me” message in the back. Gauff also expressed her excitement about joining the ‘Live Your Life’ campaign through an Instagram post. She wrote, “Excited to finally share my part in the [American Eagle] ‘live your life’ campaign. So much heart went into designing this collection with the team.

The collection includes a denim miniskirt, denim corset, high-waisted jeans, tube tank tops, and sweaters. Coco Gauff recently put up a few Instagram Stories highlighting her stunning pleaded denim tennis-core collection. With those posts, she reminded the fans once again, “Pieces from my collab are still available @americaneagle.” In the second IG story, she shared a picture of herself with the same all-denim top and skirt. She captioned that picture with, “This Never gets old“. Then again, in the third one, she asked the fans to “Show some love” for these unique collections.

Talking about trying something new and unique, Coco Gauff believes, “Do what you want. As long as you’re not harming anyone, dress how you want. Show off your skin. Be yourself.” Perhaps this is what ‘Live Your Life’ truly means! How does Coco Gauff feel about the popularity of the pleated denim skirt from her collection, which is pretty much tennis-core-coded? According to the youngster, “It’s honestly so cool to see the growth of it. A lot of the girls around the locker room definitely appreciate it because we’re getting recognition.

She further added, “With the rise of Challengers, it’s blown up. I love how fashion and sports are bringing people together and seeing people who maybe never heard of tennis try new things. I know some players are getting more interested in fashion, while influencers and people are getting more interested in tennis. It’s really exciting for us.” Tennis has a lot of fashion icons, and Coco Gauff always had a special knack for everything related to fashion. Is she now transforming tennis fashion? Perhaps, but who, according to her, is the most stylish tennis player?

During an interview before the 2023 US Open, Coco Gauff said, “I mean, I really do love fashion. I love makeup. I love that type of thing. I just haven’t really thought about how I would build that into a brand, per see.” Now, a year after that, she has not only become a tennis icon but also climbed up the ladders to become a real fashion icon. Working with brands like American Eagle and New Balance has taken her popularity in the fashion world to a new level both in terms of her off-court and on-court looks.

She’s round of what she created with the American Eagle recently. “It was really cool to do something on the more casual side off court, which I feel represents me because most people see me as just a tennis player, but obviously I’m like any other 20-year-old girl. I have other interests,” said Gauff.

However, everyone looks up to someone initially when it comes to things related to fashion and tennis has plenty of fashion icons. Who, according to Coco Gauff, is the most stylish among them? “Definitely Serena Williams. She’s literally played in a denim skirt. I don’t know if I could do that,” said Gauff. She highlighted how Williams used to set the stages on fire with her stunning looks both on and off the court! Gauff named the first one, and that’s on the women’s side, but who’s the most stylish player on the men’s side?

According to Gauff, “On the men’s side, Roger Federer. He has a timeless aura.” She is amazed at how Federer makes the classy looks, so effortless and soothing to the eyes. Simple-yet-so elegant! This could probably describe Roger Federer’s incredible taste in the fashion world. Who, according to you, are the most stylish players in the tennis world?
