During a recent session, the former Wimbledon champion mocked herself while she was struggling to do yoga. Navratilova mockingly revealed that she sneezed twice while performing a popular yoga pose called ‘Shavasana.’

Martina Navratilova talked about an incident that happened during her yoga session

The former Czech-American tennis player has made her best efforts to maintain her fitness levels by attending yoga classes. Navratilova recently opted to perform yoga poses at her home instead of going to her classes. However, the 18- time Grand Slam champion later revealed that she struggled to perform the yoga pose Shavasana.

Navratilova took to her social media as she talked about the hilarious incident. The former Wimbledon champion tweeted, “Sneezing(twice) during Shavasana should be against the law… thankfully I was alone and not in a class😳😱😜😂”

Following her tweet, some fans also stated that they have been there and struggled while doing the yoga pose. They also suggested some methods to perform the popular yoga pose correctly. One of the fans stated, “For me, it’s dust on the floor. My bad. Also elevating your head, a bit, may help. It does for me!”

Navratilova thanked the fan for her suggestion. She stated, “It was fine- it wouldn’t have been in a class- was a first for me:). Thanks for the tip in any case:)”

The record Grand Slam title winner inspired many of her fans with her incredible tennis performances on the court. However, even after moving away from the court, Navratilova is further inspiring the younger generation to stay fit by doing yoga at the age of 66.

Navratilova once encouraged her fellow tennis players to stay fit

The 9-time Wimbledon champion previously defied the popular belief that building muscle is not for women. Navratilova, with her muscular physique, was one of the powerful athletes of her era. Additionally, she once stated that every female athlete is capable of performing at their best. She went on to say that whether it is running on the track or it is to lift heavy weights, women athletes can do it all.

Navratilova added that women can work hard in order to achieve their fitness goals. Nowadays, maintaining physical fitness is extremely important for all athletes, male or female. Hence, it is great that the former tennis player is still inspiring various female athletes with her encouraging remarks.
