In a shocking twist of moments, 20-year-old tennis sensation Clara Tauson suffered an unfortunate incident during the Guangzhou Open. While the Danish tennis player was doing great, she left the whole tennis world worried in the middle of her second-round clash. But the biggest question is: what went wrong in the middle of the match that changed the whole situation in just a matter of time?

While the budding tennis player was doing fine against Yulia Putintseva, apparently the promising match in the beginning turned out to be a disturbing scene when the 20-year-old had to eventually wheel out of the court, singing out of the tournament in the most unexpected manner.

Clara Tauson’s second-round clash raised a concerning moment!

While the match was going amazing until the third set, during the same set, the 76th-ranked tennis player collapsed on the tennis court due to excessive heat. She collapsed in between the match concerning the crowd and her opponent. She received extensive treatment from doctors and eventually walked out in between the matches in a wheelchair.

However, the Dane returned to finish her game in the third set itself, but her condition kept on deteriorating, bringing in the most disturbing and concerning scene at the same time from the WTA event. Although she was determined to get back and complete the game, her discomfort progressed, and during the set break, things went south when she was not even able to step up on the court.

The medical team and even her opponent attempted to assist her as she struggled to stand up from the court, but she ultimately had to quit the match and leave the court using a wheelchair.

While Tauson has been struggling a lot physically, she might be in need of a little break to get things sorted out in the right way and to come back with better health. Nevertheless, while her fans were worried about her condition, her father, Soren Tauson, shared an update on her health and even listed the reason behind the sudden collapse that took place in between the matches.

Tauson’s father shared a health update 

A few hours after the concerning scenes, according to BT, her father wrote, “Clara is recovering. She sits in an ice bath, monitored by doctors. She will stay there for the time being.” Nevertheless, he also listed the reason behind the physical difficulties the Dane faced throughout the match.

Her father also highlighted that she was not properly hydrated, which caused the uncertainty on the tennis court. In addition, he also talked about someone who sweats a lot; it’s not always possible to drink enough or to maintain a proper fluid level.
