Jessica Pegula talks about Coco Gauff

When playing tennis together, the fact that Gauff and Jessica were born a decade apart actually doesn’t matter, but being around a young player has a different effect on the veteran tennis player. Being a billionaire’s daughter herself, she has never gone through some things that have happened with her tennis partner. Pegula commends her 18-year-old partner for always being happy most or all of the time. She enjoys her partner’s youth and agility, which keeps her going in a more vivacious manner.

She said, “I would say she has, like, really good energy. You know, like a lot of first-pumping, jumping around. Her athleticism and the youthfulness about her. She’s very giggly. She laughs a lot. She’s always kind of messing around.” The 28-year-old claims that she is pretty relaxed when playing singles, but after observing the 18-year-old’s enthusiasm, she has gained a lot of insight into how to be more animated when playing singles.
