Alexis Ohanian never shies away from sharing his love and pride for his daughters. The husband of tennis legend Serena Williams and a successful entrepreneur, Ohanian, is as dedicated to fatherhood as he is to his business ventures. As his brainchild, the 2024 Athlos NYC, kicked off, Ohanian took a moment to heap praises on his daughter once again. He shared heartwarming snippets of his little one, showing how much his family means to him, even amid his busy schedule. 

Ohanian engaged in an interaction at the grand opening of Athlos, NYC on Thursday. He was seen alongside his daughter Olympia, who was also in the interview alongside Ohanian. When quizzed about Olympia’s personality outside of what can be seen on social media, Ohanian had nothing but praise to offer. 

Speaking at the interview, Ohanian said, “Olympia is easily the most amazing little human I have met and she’s a great big sister.” Remember, Ohanian and Williams are parents to two daughters. While the elder daughter Olympia was born in 2017, the younger Adira was welcomed by the couple in 2023. Continuing further, Ohanian also heaped praises on his wife and the tennis star.  

“The one credit that I gotta give, Serena is an amazing mom, and one of the things we do is just really prioritize, just trying to show up for our kids,and it’s a great way to say take your daughter to work,” he said highlighting the incredible parenting that the couple offers to their children. This also highlighted the fact that Ohanian has continued to give the most importance to his family, despite the grueling schedule of an event as big as the Athlos NYC.

For the unversed, the event is a novel, women-only track and field event through which Ohanian desires to bring a positive change in the lives of female athletes. He announced the beginning of the initiative in April this year and highlighted that his venture Seven Seven Six would invest directly in the event. However, this was not the first time when he shared such remarks about the couple’s parenting.

The Reddit co-founder revealed in July that the couple tries to give the best of the times to their daughters. “I promise to the girls when I am on dad duty this (mobile phone) goes away. We do our best and then we know what really matters are those little girls back home.” It is because of this probable reason that he has often engaged in some free-time activities and much-needed outings with his daughter. Interestingly, Olympia seems to have achieved some similar traits as well.

Like father like daughter. Olympia Ohanian seems to have taken on some great responsibilities despite her young age. Following in the footsteps of her parents, Olympia also tries to offer as much support as possible and her love for her younger sister Adira is fascinating. 

During an interview and the candid walkthrough of current family dynamics, Alexis Ohanian revealed how Olympia has already started to like her little sister’s company. “She’s able to have a lot more fun with her sister in terms of playing. You can already see the interactions between them.” Continuing further, he discussed the ‘maternal spirit’ that Olympia is developing. “It’s a big age gap, and Olympia has a little bit of that maternal spirit. She’s like, ‘This is my baby,’ and it’s great to see them together.”

For now, it would be interesting to see if more such proud moments between the father and the daughter are witnessed, as the Athlos NYC unfolds with new surprises anticipated at every point.
