It is a well-known fact that Alexis Ohanian, the husband of Serena Williams, is a family man who values the people in his life. Considering how much his parents have contributed to his career, he always makes time to value his relationship with them. And yesterday, on Mother’s Day, the Reddit co-founder remembered his mother, whom he lost nearly 15 years ago.

Most of his fans don’t know anything about Ohanian’s family, unlike the family of the American tennis legend. However, the 40-year-old American businessman usually finds the right moment to reveal important details about his family to his fans.

Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, remembers his mother 

Anke Ohanian, Alexis’ mother, passed away in 2008 from a brain tumor. Since then, Alexis has shared recollections and facts about his bond with his mother on Mother’s Day every year.

Similarly, on the special occasion yesterday, he honored his mother and spoke about how, after his mother’s death, he has become a successful businessman, emphasizing his mother’s role in it. He took to Twitter to share a childhood photo with his mom. He also shared a picture of an engraved tribute to his mother, along with other memories.

He wrote, “Love your mama every day! After I sold @Reddit, my mom passed, + I had enough to dedicate a chair at @UVA for her (Front of the class! Where she’d have sat if she’d gone to college). I think she’d be so excited for the @776Foundation + she’d have LOVED being a grandma (2x!)”

He simultaneously shared the same tweet from Twitter through his Instagram stories and opened about his mother. He added the words “And thought about mom” to the story. Prior to this, he also remembered a vivid dream in which he saw his mother last year.

The 40-year-old described having a dream in which he met his deceased mother last year over Twitter. He remembers seeing his mother at an award ceremony, where she joined him in celebrating his triumph. He added that the time he spent with his mom in his dream was simply great.

He added that it was the most vivid dream he had experienced in the previous two decades. Seeing his mom was also the finest dream he’d had since his mother passed away.
